Experience:

• 4 to 7 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or any other related discipline

• 4 to 7 years

• Age 25 to 35 years

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in paint, chemical, or process-based manufacturing plants.

• Experience in new plant setup, commissioning, pre-opening operations, or joint venture manufacturing environments will be considered an advantage.

• Candidates with strong hands-on factory exposure and operational readiness in a foreign JV environment are highly encouraged to apply.

• Practical manufacturing exposure and technical aptitude will be given priority.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong operational and execution capability

• Ability to work in a JV-governed, compliance-oriented environment

• Sound problem-solving and coordination skills

• Effective communication with technical experts, management, and shop-floor teams

• Fluency in Bangla; working knowledge of English preferred

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, reporting, and documentation

About the Company

We are a Joint Venture paint manufacturing company in Bangladesh, in joint venture partnership with one of the largest paint brand of Vietnam with their strong presence in Malaysia, Singapore and Korea. The Bangladesh JV Company is presently in the pre-operational phase, focusing on factory setup, installation, commissioning, and pre-opening readiness in line with international manufacturing standards and JV obligations.

In this context, the Company intends to appoint a competent, energetic, and hands-on Assistant Plant Manager to support the pre-opening activities, operational structuring, and initial stabilization of manufacturing operations, under the guidance of Vietnamese technical experts and senior management.

Position Overview

The Assistant Plant Manager shall work in close coordination with the Vietnamese technical experts, and the Top Management of the Joint Venture Company to ensure timely completion of pre-opening activities and smooth transition into commercial production. The role requires active engagement in factory-floor operations and process implementation.

Job Responsibilities

• To assist in factory setup, machinery installation, commissioning, and trial production activities.

• To support preparation and execution of pre-opening operational plans and schedules.

• To assist in production planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting during trial and initial runs.

• To ensure active shop-floor supervision for smooth operational readiness.

• To coordinate with production, quality control, maintenance, procurement, and warehouse functions.

• To assist in implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety, environmental, and quality standards in accordance with JV and international guidelines.

• To monitor raw material usage, wastage control, and process efficiency during pre-operational stages.

• To assist in identifying and resolving technical, process, and machinery-related issues.

• To prepare production records, stock statements, daily MIS, and operational documentation.

• To support workforce discipline, safety compliance, and operational coordination.

• To assume defined operational responsibilities as assigned during transition to commercial production.

• Occasional international travel may be required for project purposes.
