Designing, Planning, and Monitoring principles & guideline - 25%
Contribute to developing a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) plan for the rice fortification project in alignment with project objectives, outcomes and outputs.
Design different context-driven monitoring tools, and plan to strengthen the information management system and reporting mechanism within the project in line with IR MEAL framework.
Support coordination with WFP to monitor site selection, beneficiary profiling, conduct different need assessments, FGDs, KIIs, and community consultations.
Contribute to preparing a project implementation plan (PIP) considering the proposal and local context to achieve set goals and objectives.
Assist in overseeing quality control processes for rice milling and fortification units, ensuring compliance with food safety protocols.
Help implement a management plan for the milling facility, including inventory management, scheduling, and production monitoring.
Contribute to tracking rice fortification outputs, including monitoring production capacity and process efficiency.
Assist in identifying market linkages for locally milled fortified rice and track the economic impact on local retailers.
Regularly follow up on the project activity, financial status, and work progress and report to management.
Conduct MEAL findings sharing session at the field level with respective project teams.
Ensure a team environment by supporting program staff in implementing project activities and establishing high-quality performance targets, ensuring adherence to technical standards, best practices, and donor guidelines.
Support the planning of periodic project reviews, incorporating feedback from stakeholders,
Research and Evaluation -15%
Contribute to baseline, mid-term, end-line to assess project impact on food security and livelihoods within the targeted FDMN population.
Conduct post-distribution monitoring (PDM), share the findings and recommendation to internal and external lines
Conduct community’s satisfaction survey and cultivate their perception on the newly initiated rice fortification project in Bhasan Char.
Contribute to analyzing the cost-efficiency of local rice milling compared to off-island processing.
Help develop case studies and success stories highlighting project achievements and lessons learned
Assist in preparing findings for review meetings and contribute to integrating learnings into ongoing project adjustments.
Accountability and Learning - 15%
Assist in managing Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) to promote transparency and accountability in project operations.
Regular maintain CFM log, ensure required visibility, and coordinate with respective CFM focal point to strengthen Islamic Relief’s CFM system.
Contribute to establishing mechanisms for regular feedback from community members on rice milling and fortification, incorporating suggestions into project improvements.
Assist in ensuring the integration of gender equality, protection, and disability inclusion principles in project monitoring.
Data Management and Reporting - 25%
Assist in data collection and management for rice milling, production, and fortification activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Support the use of digital tools such as WFP’s SCOPE and MODA systems for recording production metrics and participant data.
Contribute to preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and final reports to WFP, detailing project progress and lessons learned.
Assist in analyzing production data to identify trends and opportunities for improving rice fortification efficiency and quality control.
Help manage inventory of rice kernels, fortification premix, and packaging materials to ensure smooth operations and avoid stockouts.
Support the documentation and reporting of warehouse and facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and food quality standards.
Assist in maintaining up-to-date logs of rice milling equipment maintenance and performance to track operational efficiency.
Assist in preparing donor reports, ensuring all required data is captured and submitted accurately and on time.
Ensure data collected adheres to strict confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness standards, in line with WFP’s data management policies.
Capacity Building and Strategic Development - 10%
Support in organizing training sessions on food hygiene, safety protocols, and quality control in the rice fortification process.
Assist to conduct workshops on best practices for storage and market engagement, building operational skills among local staff.
Conduct training and provide technical support to project staff on Mobile data Collection (KoBo), data protection policy, reporting, proper documentation etc.
Contribute in promoting inclusiveness within the project, ensuring fair representation of women and person with disabilities and promote other cross-cutting issues.
Other Requirements - 10%
Participate and be involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that visitor recommendations are addressed.
