Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Assistant Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in managing Fabric and Trims Accessories Sourcing, Costing, and Buyer Communication. The incumbent must possess a strong understanding of the processes and procedures of M&S (Marks & Spencer) to ensure smooth execution of merchandising activities and alignment with buyer expectations.
∎ Job Description/ Responsibility:
∎ Review tech packs, including specifications, sketches, and fabric details according to buyer’s requirement.
∎ Once all discrepancies are addressed and clarified, proceed with the costing process.
∎ Work with designers and product developers to understand seasonal trends and product requirements.
∎ Support the sourcing of fabrics, trims, and other materials for garment production.
∎ Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery of samples and bulk orders.
∎ Coordinate sample deliveries, approvals, and feedback between suppliers and internal teams.
∎ Assist in placing purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate order placement.
∎ Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure proper shipment tracking and delivery of products.
∎ Assist seniors maintaining detailed records of production schedules, orders, and costing data.
∎ Make T&A with buyer for upcoming order.
∎ Assist in preparing reports related to sales, inventory, and product performance.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely order input into the ERP system.
∎ Update and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) through the ERP system to ensure all product components are accurately recorded.
∎ Set and manage the Order Plan and Time and Action (TNA) schedules within the ERP system and the company’s internal format to track production timelines and milestones.
∎ Map the LMS (Logistics Management System) with the confirmed order details to ensure correct coordination between production, logistics, and shipment teams.
∎ Perform any other additional task assigned by the Company Management and my desk in-charge on behalf of company.
