Job Summary:
TELSTECH POWERED BY TELSTAR is seeking a HVAC Design Engineer with strong expertise in pharmaceutical and life science facility design. The ideal candidate will lead HVAC and black utility system design across conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering phases for international GMP-compliant projects. This is a key technical role that involves multi-disciplinary coordination, compliance with global regulations, and delivering high-standard design documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC Design Leadership:
Lead HVAC engineering design packages during Conceptual, Basic, and Detailed Design phases for global pharmaceutical/life science projects.
Ensure proper selection of HVAC equipment (e.g., AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps), and develop equipment sizing, layouts, and performance specifications.
Utility Systems Engineering:
Design and review black utility systems including compressed air, chilled water, hot water, steam, vacuum, and ventilation.
Prepare HVAC load calculations, airflow diagrams, pressure cascade plans, duct and piping routing.
Regulatory & Compliance:
Ensure all designs comply with cGMP, EU GMP Annex 1, FDA, EMA, WHO, ISO 14644, ASHRAE, and ISPE Baseline Guides.
Develop URS, Functional Specifications, control philosophies, and validation-support documents.
Documentation & Deliverables:
Create and review P&IDs, ducting/piping layouts, technical datasheets, and tender documents.
Approve and oversee final design deliverables ensuring quality and compliance with project standards.
Cross-Disciplinary Coordination:
Collaborate with cleanroom architecture, process engineering, electrical, BMS/EMS, and automation teams.
Support procurement and project managers in equipment selection, vendor evaluation, and technical clarifications.
