Job Context
The Assistant Manager – Store will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and monitoring all store operations to ensure efficient inventory management, material availability, stock accuracy, and compliance with company policies. The incumbent will oversee multiple stores including Raw Material Store, Packaging Material Store, Chemical Store, and Accessories Store while coordinating closely with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts, and Factory Management teams.
Job Responsibilities
Manage overall store operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, preservation, and stock control of all inventory items.
Supervise Raw Material, Packaging Material, Mechanical, Chemical, and Accessories Stores.
Ensure accurate inventory records and maintain stock levels as per operational requirements.
Monitor material movement and ensure timely issuance to production departments.
Implement FIFO, FEFO, and other inventory control practices where applicable.
Conduct regular physical inventory verification and cycle counts.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inventory reports.
Ensure proper storage conditions for chemicals, spare parts, packaging materials, and raw materials.
Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams regarding stock replenishment and material planning.
Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Lead store personnel and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure proper documentation of GRN, MRR, MRRN, Issue Notes, Transfer Notes, and other inventory-related documents.
Maintain ERP/software-based inventory transactions accurately and timely.
Ensure workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance within all store areas.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary inventory records and reports.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
