Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of ISP network infrastructure (Core, Edge, Access).
∎ Manage BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, PPPoE, and IP addressing schemes.Ensure high availability, low latency, and optimal performance of the network.
∎ Oversee the NOC (Network Operations Center) team and ensure 24/7 network monitoring and incident response.
∎ Coordinate with upstream providers, data centers, and vendors.
∎ Plan and manage network capacity upgrades and expansions.
∎ Develop SOPs, network documentation, topology maps, and audit logs.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (e.g., BTRC, NTTN, NIX).
∎ Lead and mentor network engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence.
∎ Prepare technical reports, budgets, and management updates as required.
∎ Deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware, KVM, Proxmox, or similar platforms.
∎ Use monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, to detect and respond to issues.
∎ Manage and maintain services such as: (DNS , Radious, Email Server, Web Server, FTP server etc.)Enforce firewalls and access controls (iptables, pfSense, etc.)·
∎ Strong hands-on knowledge in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching (VLAN, STP), and tunneling (IPSec, GRE).
∎ Proficiency with MikroTik, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or other carrier-grade equipment.
∎ Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Cacti, PRTG, LibreNMS).
∎ Familiar with IPv4/IPv6 planning and transition techniques.
