  • A Strong understanding of finishing processes, garment measurements, and packaging guidelines.

  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving ability.

  • Knowledge of buyer compliance, packaging standards, and product presentation.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple styles at once.

  • Proficiency in production reporting and ERP.

The Organization began its journey in 2002, which comprises knitting, Dyeing, Sewing, printing, and embroidery. The following position will ensure in management of all finishing operations—including thread trimming, spotting, ironing, packing, and final inspection—to ensure high-quality output and on-time shipment. The role supports the finishing manager in maintaining production targets, reducing defects, improving efficiency, and coordinating with production and quality departments.

 

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Finishing Operations Management

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily finishing activities.

  • Ensure smooth workflow in trimming, checking, ironing, tagging, folding, poly, and carton packing.

  • Support maintaining WIP levels, line setup, and workstation arrangement.

  • Monitor hourly and daily finishing outputs and take quick corrective action for delays.

B. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure garments meet buyer quality standards for finishing, presentation, and packaging.

  • Work closely with QA/QC teams to minimize defects such as shine marks, stains, measurement variations, and poor pressing.

  • Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring quality issues.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, chemical handling (spotting), and buyer audit requirements.

C. Manpower & Resource Management

  • Support efficient utilization of manpower: checkers, iron-men, folders, packers, and helpers.

  • Assist in planning manpower based on style complexity and estimated output.

  • Ensure availability of finishing materials (tags, poly, cartons, size stickers, packing accessories).

  • Monitor machine and equipment (iron, steam boiler, vacuum tables) performance and request maintenance as needed.

D. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with sewing, cutting, planning, merchandising, and quality teams for production flow.

  • Take part in PP meetings, daily production meetings, and buyer inspection preparations.

  • Report finishing status, WIP, output, and challenges to the Finishing Manager and senior management.

E. Productivity & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the implementation of LEAN, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement initiatives.

  • Identify bottlenecks in finishing and propose solutions for increasing efficiency.

  • Assist in layout improvement to enhance workflow and productivity.

  • Work with IE (Industrial Engineering) to reduce standard minute losses and increase per-line efficiency.

F. Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise finishing supervisors, team leaders, and finishing workers.

  • Train operators on quality requirements, proper ironing techniques, and safe use of chemicals and equipment.

  • Maintain discipline, attendance, and a clean working environment in the finishing section.
