Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of costing, production planning, and vendor management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context:

Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Woven Merchandising will oversee the end-to-end merchandising of woven garments, manage a team of merchandisers, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products for multiple international buyers. The role demands strong woven apparel knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on involvement in production planning and product development.

Merchandising & Product Development:

  • Manage all aspects of woven garment merchandising for multiple buyers.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to convert seasonal trends into production-ready garments.
  • Review and approve samples to ensure compliance with buyer requirements.
  • Plan, monitor, and follow up on production schedules, Time & Action (T&A) plans, and critical paths.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandisers to achieve operational excellence.
  • Allocate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and ensure team adherence to KPIs.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance technical skills and product knowledge of team members.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to buyer standards.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, ethical, and safety standards in all production activities.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Address buyer queries, feedback, and escalations promptly.
  • Coordinate effectively with sourcing, production, and QA teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on order status, production progress, and team performance.
  • Analyze data to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvements.
