• Monitor machining and fabrication of equipment.

• Monitor availability of roll stand assemblies, guides etc. according to rolling plan.

• Assess and create resource allocation and manage availability of equipment and materials.

• Support repair and maintenance of spares at plant level as and when required.

• Critical analysis of workshop machines, stand assemblies and guide assemblies on various parameters as required.

• Monitoring, planning, machining, grooving and housing of rolls and guide rolls.

• Monitor, plan, manage and track consumption of guides and bearing for production.

• Monitor timely maintenance of workshop equipment.

• Plan to reduce workshop breakdowns & delay.

• Monitor cost controlling & adherence to reduce cost of spares.

• Ensure to reduce mill rolls consumption and minimizing rolls inventory.

• Closely monitor and review operation of CNC roll turning, CNC notching, CNC wire cutting, general lathe machine, Surface grinding, Shaper, Drill machine etc.

• Maintain and monitor MIS for overall workshop activities of the unit.

• Support to mill up-gradation & new projects.

• Compliance to ISO QMS, EMS and OHSMS requirements as per standard.

• Identifying potential safety issues through hazard identifications and addresses improvement areas and take preventive measures to reduce safety risk pertaining to legal provision.
