Job Context:
∎ Quasem Industries Limited is looking for a dynamic academic professional for the position "Factory In-Charge" for their Quartz project at Tangail.
∎ This is the first artificial Quartz Project in Bangladesh. Artificial quartz is a building material similar to granite and marble that is 100% factory manufactured.
∎ We are seeking the application from the competent professionals who have adequate knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory Process along with knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for leading and maintaining the Quartz manufacturing and production system of assigned, accomplishing department goals and keeping on task with targets and implementation schedule.
∎ Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
∎ Set and monitor the performance of the plant against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and operating efficiency, quality, cost control, administration efficiency, legal compliance, inventory control, finished goods distribution, and human resource management
∎ Provide clear direction, encouragement and support to team members, develop team working and ensure adherence to performance management standards
∎ To establish clear operating standards and systems for all aspects of the operations with respect to maintaining and improving safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale
∎ Responsible for ensuring compliance to Quality Risk Management Process (QRMP) in factory
∎ High Pressure Casting Method for Sanitary Ware
∎ Production planning for sanitary ware
∎ Adherence to sustainability and Operations Risk Management (ORM)
∎ Responsible for Total Productivity Maintenance
∎ Defect analysis and solution
∎ Method of Making Molded Sanitary Ware.
∎ Molding compositions for the production of sanitary-ware
∎ Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant's production capabilities
∎ Responsible for dealing with all legal issues related to factory
∎ Time to time update factory rules according to government's notice
∎ Organize activities for skill development, retraining, improvement related with production
∎ Provide End user training and Support for all type of production (as applicable) for new comer and existing users.
∎ Perform other functions assigned by the Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates from ceramics industry backgrounds will be preferred. Those who have worked in tiles manufacturing or finishing of marble and granite will be given preference.
∎ Proven experience in ISO and BSTI is desirable
∎ Team management experience required
∎ Work experience more than 10 years as a Factory Manager
∎ Proven managerial experience
∎ Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation)
∎ Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
∎ Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory Process.
∎ Excellent Computer literacy
∎ Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
∎ Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
