Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in agricultural or industrial infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of construction materials, rural infrastructure, and sustainable design principles.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of dairy farm operations and needs (preferred but not mandatory).



Responsibilities & Context:

1. Infrastructure Design & Planning

  • Design structural layouts for cattle sheds, feed storage, silos, milking parlors, manure pits, biogas units, roads, and farm staff quarters.

  • Develop site plans considering animal comfort, drainage, ventilation, and biosecurity.

2. Project Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise civil works from inception to completion.

  • Ensure timely and quality execution of construction projects.

  • Monitor contractor performance and adherence to specifications and safety protocols.

3. Maintenance & Repair

  • Conduct regular inspection of farm infrastructure.

  • Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

4. Water & Waste Management Systems

  • Design and maintain water supply systems (bore wells, overhead tanks, pipelines).

  • Implement drainage and effluent treatment systems (e.g., slurry channels, soak pits).

  • Support development of sustainable manure and wastewater management systems.

5. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and project budgets.

  • Manage material procurement and resource allocation.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all construction complies with local building codes, environmental regulations, and farm biosecurity standards.

  • Implement farm safety standards for workers and animals.

7. Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with farm managers, veterinarians, mechanical/electrical engineers, and external contractors.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, drawings, and progress reports.
