Currently, the country office of Muslim Aid Bangladesh is in Dhaka. Muslim Aid is registered in Bangladesh under the Foreign Registration Ordinance with the NGO Affairs Bureau. Programmes and institutes are registered/affiliated with Social Welfare Department, BTEB, Joint Stock Company under Society Act, MRA and Directorate of Health Services. Muslim Aid ensuring sectoral services to fulfil the pledge of Bangladesh Government in Vision 2021 and SDG.
∎ There is a five years long new project named "The integrated rehabilitation program for ultra-poor slum dwellers in Mohammadpur and Mirpur in Dhaka city and Saidpur in Nilphamari district for Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET), in Bangladesh" to enhance 22,100 Urban Slum Dwellers` access to skills training and capacity enhancement for creating livelihood opportunities and contribute in economic development of Muslim Aid Bangladesh Country Office (MABCO) funded by IsDB.
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Skills and Livelihood Development Coordinator of MABFO, the Skills and Livelihood Development Officer will work for this project with TVET in Bangladesh to coordinate three centres` implementing work centrally and other donor funded project under Humanitarian Programme
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to Programme Manager, livelihoods for ensuring smooth functioning, supervise & oversee the KAAP-UUP, IsDB Programme in a view to maximum achievement of Muslim Aid objectives within the framework of organizational principles;
∎ Assist to Programme Manager, livelihoods for ensure successful implementation of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Azia Programme (KAAP) Urban Ultra-Poor (UUP), IsDB Programme
∎ Capitalize the knowledge produced within the project and document accordingly.
∎ Assist for ensure quality reporting to donors and/or MA Headquarters within agreed timeline
∎ Assist for drafting quality concept notes and proposals within the livelihoods thematic area.
∎ Assist for financial Management including donor fund hunt and regular communication & reporting;
∎ Assist to develop and agreed program strategy and operational plans.
∎ Assist to manage all aspect of the project, including technical support and supervision, and the development of effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems.
∎ Assist to represent and liaise with key partners in both the government and NGOs, and providing support for appropriate capacity building to partner NGOs/ institutions.
∎ Assist to ensure good working relationships with a number of national/international agencies, donors and senior managers of government department as well as Technical Education Board.
∎ Assist to ensure effective management, support and development of all staff engaged by MAIT in the project work.
∎ Assist to assume budget responsibility for all active projects that s/he is managing and ensure sound financial monitoring and accountability of the projects.
∎ Assist to work with the team to draw up overall programme.
∎ Assist to the programme team to ensure that the Progrmme operates within a sound management framework.
∎ Assist to contribute to the risk management strategy and ensure that risk management is an on-going process in all relevant programmes.
∎ Assist to work collaboratively with other teams within project to ensure consistent approach to other projects, particularly for other MAITs.
∎ Assist with programme audits and assessment where necessary.
∎ Coordinate and consult with the management for sending regular summaries of ongoing projects at timely intervals to Muslim Aid headquarters.
∎ Assist to develop, seek and secure finding for new programms based on identified needs with update of the department.
∎ Any other duties commensurate with the accountability of the post given by the department.
∎ To make appropriate initiatives and action to make the institute sustainable.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Has a good network among TVET actors like government agencies, I/NGOs and training institutes.
∎ Excellent working knowledge of computer applications like MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Mandatory).
∎ Operates effectively and efficiently also under stressful situations and tight deadlines.
∎ Good command over English in both speaking and writing.
∎ Communication and presentation skills, for example; ability to represent Muslim Aid in meetings with donor effectively and ability to engage with private businesses and the corporate sector
∎ Strong administrative skills and ability to effectively use technology and follow departmental procedures
∎ Must be able to familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
