Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Textile Technology, Graduation/Post-Graduation in any discipline
∎ Skills Required: CAD and Consumption, Product Development, Sample Making
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
CAD and Consumption, Garment Fit, Product Development, Sample Making, Sample Section Management, Understand Tech Pack and Design
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments, Multinational Companies, Textile
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To take the responsibility to Set up a new CAD & Sample Section
∎ To run the operation of CAD & Sample Section with more than 30 people
∎ To handle more than 20 customers at a time.
∎ Too handle different kind of product categories (Padded Jacket, Fake/Real Down Jacket, Outerwear, Coverall/Overall, Heavy Workwear, Sportswear, Knit/Woven Tops & Bottoms, Home Textile etc.
∎ To understand customer concept and idea to develop new product.
∎ Proper execution of sampling according to planned 'Time and Action Plan' on regular basis to ensure on time submission with right quality and quantity.
∎ To provide technical advice and support to design team, merchandise staffs, factories and production team members.
∎ To Review & Analyze Tech-pack
∎ To Interpret Design & Tech-pack to Product
∎ To Making CAD & Consumption
∎ To Develop/Make Marker, Grading and Pattern
∎ To do Shrinkage/Pattern Grouping, Pattern Corrections/ Balancing/ Adjustment according to the Fit Model.
∎ Providing Technical Support where necessary during sample development & production
∎ To review sample measurement and workmanship prior to sending buyer.
∎ Solve the technical issue in the Sample Section.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by achieving optimum efficiency of CAD
∎ Preparing a mini-marker for the calculation of the material consumption for costing purposes.
∎ Communicate and Coordinate with the associates (Sample making, Cutting, merchandisers, technicians, seniors) and suppliers to reach the best consumption with quality and efficiency.
∎ Support and advise the team to find the best solution to reduce fabric wastage and to achieve maximum fabric use.
∎ Digitizing the patterns (given by the pattern maker), carrying out alterations, adjustments and grading as per instructions
∎ For confirmed orders, revising fabric consumption where required based on actual width details, calculating consumption details of other trims and communicating the information to the merchants to support material ordering purposes.
∎ Sample Planning & Production Follow Up
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Sound knowledge in Jacket products (padded, non-padded, real/fake down jacket, soft-shell and other woven jackets etc) and outerwear etc.
∎ Understand spec, tech file and fit etc.
∎ Sound knowledge in product development on the basis of tech pack, sketch, sample etc.
∎ Sound knowledge in fabrics, accessories, trims, fashion trends, fashionable wash (if necessary), etc.
∎ Candidates working in Buying House, Brands and Jacket factory will get preference.
∎ Good knowledge on this industry
∎ Has to be up to date with the current trend of this industries
∎ Strong creative vision
∎ Applicant should be self -motivated & honest;
∎ Ability to handle workload and manage multiple tasks at a time under stressed environment.
∎ Proficiency in SAP/ ERP is preferable.
∎ Problem Solving skills and Analysis.
∎ Excellent analytical skill, report writing and presentation skills.
∎ Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
∎ Strong interpersonal skill to communication with people.
