Job Context:
∎ International software company with Head Office in Sydney, Australia.
∎ Fast-growing. development team based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
∎ Working on App projects for the Australian Government.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Hands on designing and coding of custom Android applications.
∎ Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
∎ Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions.
∎ Conduct technical training sessions with colleagues
∎ Working with business analysts / UI designers to ensure requirements are clear as well as offering technical input into the requirements process.
∎ Working with solution designers to provide mobile team input into the solution design
∎ Hands on designing and coding of Android applications.
∎ Working with the test team to ensure applications are robust.
∎ Continuous innovation in development practices, team processes and mobile design.
∎ Support users by developing documentation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 1 or more years of experience in full lifecycle development of mobile applications on Android devices
∎ Good written and verbal communication in English
∎ Strong Knowledge of Java, Android Studio, Eclipse
∎ Java Web experience would be an advantage, but not essential
∎ Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
∎ Experience working with REST APIs
∎ Additional iOS development experience is preferred
∎ Provisioning and publishing apps in Google Play with working knowledge of Google's Publishing Procedures and App Review Process
∎ Knowledge in Git repositories
∎ Ability to independently analyze problems, evaluate solutions, and effectively communicate options and recommendations to the leadership team
∎ Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
∎ Identify alternative solutions for solving a business problem
∎ Test-driven development (TDD)
∎ Able to work to timelines and under pressure
∎ Strong work ethic.
