Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assessing crop production of the farm·
∎ Evaluating and improving crop & seed quality ·
∎ Carrying out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples·
∎ Performing quality control for seed caliber and soil standards · Budgeting and maintaining accurate records for analysis and data presentation·
∎ Ensuring that enough farm workers will be available at key times and the equipment needed is in working order.·
∎ Recruiting, training and supervising farm workers to make sure that work is done safely and in time to meet targets·
∎ Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
∎ Ensuring that the farm is profitable and meets projected financial targets
∎ Job Context :In the agronomist role, you will collaborate with farmers and crop researchers to conduct a detailed analysis of crop data. You will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of soil productivity principles and keep tabs on the latest trends and technologies in agronomy. Success in this role will be determined by providing valuable insights that lead to solutions that drive higher crop yields.
