We are seeking an experienced and visionary Agro Farm Manager to spearhead our vegetable and fruit production operations. As a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Agro Business Unit Head, this position offers a unique opportunity to shape and drive bti’s agro initiative from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Management
Develop and implement annual plans, production targets, and operational budgets for vegetable and fruit cultivation.
Supervise all horticultural activities, including nursery management, planting, irrigation, pest and disease control, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
Ensure optimal use of land, labor, and machinery to achieve maximum yield and quality.
Lead projects focused on farm expansion, modernization, and sustainable practices.
Crop Management
Plan and execute cropping schedules for seasonal and perennial fruit and vegetable crops.
Monitor soil fertility, irrigation systems, pest management, and fertilizer application.
Coordinate with agricultural scientists, agronomists, and consultants to implement improved production techniques.
Adopt and oversee modern agricultural technologies such as drip irrigation, greenhouse farming, and precision agriculture.
Maintain high standards of quality control, food safety, and compliance with agricultural regulations.
Financial & Administrative Control
Monitor operational costs and ensure efficient utilization of all farm resources.
Prepare and present regular reports on production, profitability, and productivity to senior management.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination related to inputs and equipment for vegetable and fruit production.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
Lead and manage farm supervisors, agronomists, and field workers.
Conduct regular training sessions to improve the technical knowledge and efficiency of the team in vegetable and fruit cultivation practices.
