Military/Police Background: Many organizations strongly prefer retired/recently retired personnel from the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) or Police/Paramilitary forces due to their extensive experience in security, discipline, and administration.
Certifications: Professional certifications in areas like Industrial Safety (e.g., from a government-recognized institute), Fire Safety, or security management are highly advantageous.

Developing and managing security protocols.
Large-scale team management and training.
Crisis management and incident response.
Statutory compliance related to safety, fire, and security laws.
The primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and manage the organization's comprehensive security and safety strategy to safeguard personnel, assets, and property while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Strategy and Policy: Develop, implement, and periodically review security, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures to mitigate risks, ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, and create a safe work environment.
Risk Management: Conduct regular security and safety risk assessments and audits (e.g., fire, physical security, access control, workplace hazards). Design and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including access control systems, CCTV surveillance, deployment of security personnel/guards, and incident monitoring.
Safety/HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment): Lead the HSE function, ensuring all safety standards (like fire safety, industrial safety, and first aid) are met, including conducting safety training and drills.
Incident and Crisis Management: Lead the investigation, reporting, and resolution of all security breaches, accidents, and incidents. Develop and manage Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and manage a team of security and safety personnel.
Liaison: Maintain strong liaison with local law enforcement agencies, fire services, and relevant government authorities.
Budgeting: Manage the budget for all security and safety operations, technology, and equipment.
