Candidates must have 5 to 8 years of total work experience in the merchandising team of a reputed Knit garments factory, with direct experience handling renowned international buyers/brands.
Should have experienced in working high-end knitwear manufacturer.
Strong command of English and solid mathematical skills are essential.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written).
Strong follow-up skills and ability to work under pressure.
Good coordination skills with internal teams.
Proficient in MS Excel, Email, T&A management, reporting.
Self-motivated, proactive, and deadline-driven.
Manage the full merchandising process — product development, costing, sampling, approvals, production follow-up, and shipment.
Maintain strong day-to-day communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Prepare and monitor T&A plans, BOM, cost sheets, consumption, and ensure timely execution.
Coordinate with production, planning, quality, fabric & trims teams for smooth workflow.
Follow-up on lab dips, strike-offs, fit samples, size sets, PP meetings, and maintain all documentation.
Track fabric, trims, accessories status and solve any delays or shortages proactively.
Ensure quality standards are consistently met according to buyer requirements.
Execute price negotiations and support in order confirmation with buyers.
Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action to ensure on-time delivery.
Prepare daily/weekly reports: WIP, order status, sample tracking, shipment status.
Work closely with sample section for development samples, SMS, and shipment samples.
Support management in new buyer development and sample presentations.
Maintain excellent professional relationships with existing buyers.
Monitor order progress and keep all stakeholders regularly informed.
Collaborate with design teams to develop samples as per buyer requirements, reviewing and approving them to meet quality and specification standards while suggesting improvements aligned with market trends.
Assist in the development of new buyers or orders through marketing and product development activities.
Prepare cost sheets, negotiate prices, and handle order confirmation.
Ensure all approvals (samples, trims, fabrics, and print/ embroidery) are received on time.
Prepare and maintain all merchandising documentation, including PO, order sheets, consumption, costing, and inspection reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet departmental goals while guiding and supporting junior team members.
Proactively identify and resolve production issues, implementing process improvements to reduce lead time.
Stay informed on market trends and buyer preferences, providing insights to support new business & opportunities.
