Responsibilities & Context:

An AGM (Factory Operations) is also known as Manufacturing Operations, overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing facility. This role focuses on ensuring efficient and smooth production, managing teams, optimizing workflows, and maintaining quality and safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities of a Factory Operations :

Production Oversight:

• Managing the entire production process, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

Team Management:

• Leading and motivating production teams, ensuring they have the resources and training needed to perform their jobs effectively.

Workflow Optimization:

• Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process and implementing solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Quality and Safety:

• Ensuring that all products meet quality standards and that safety regulations are followed throughout the manufacturing process.

Resource Management:

• Managing materials, equipment, and human resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Inventory Management:

• Maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support production and avoid shortages or excess stock.

Budget Management:

• Developing and managing production budgets to ensure that costs are controlled and resources are utilized effectively.

Continuous Improvement:

• Implementing strategies for continuous improvement, such as lean manufacturing principles or new technologies, to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Maintaining clear communication with other departments, including supply chain, sales, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular reports to management on production performance and areas for improvement.
