Job Context:
∎ RDRS is a leading national development organisation in Bangladesh working for the poor and underprivileged communities across the country with focus on north-west Bangladesh. Established in 1972 as the field programme of Lutheran World Federation, Geneva, RDRS became a national development organisation in 1997 under the Trust Act. RDRS provides development services to over 3 million households in 32 districts through its five major programme priorities - Skills, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Social Empowerment, Agriculture, Food Security & Climate Change, Microfinance and Emergency and Humanitarian Response.
∎ Recently, RDRS Bangladesh is seeking applications for the position of Accounts Officer under RDRS Core Comprehensive Program.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Record keeping of all invoices & other bills and cross check for quality ensuring;
∎ Preparation of payments voucher and booking of expenses under appropriate head of Accounts;
∎ Check petty cash expenses, daily cash count sheet and petty cash reimbursement;
∎ Keep voucher, documents and records properly and safely;
∎ Assist in the preparation of payroll and disbursement of petty cash and control cash;
∎ Settlement of invoice and other bills and deduction of Income tax and issued VAT coupon at source and timely deposit of Governments Taxes to Tax and VAT Authority;
∎ Maintain fixed assets memorandum and preparation of monthly statement according to capitalization policy;
∎ Prepare of journal voucher and take approval from authorized person before recording;
∎ Prepare reports frequently of all financial transactions monthly, quarterly and annually and/or as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 5 years of experience in accounts and finance related work in any reputed organization;
∎ Training in Financial Management will be treated as extra quality;
∎ Experience in using AIS & MIS tools of microfinance will get preference;
∎ Good operating skills of Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS Word) with software operation and reporting will be treated as essential skills; and
∎ Required to have excellent communication skills.
∎ Age may be relax for deserving candidates.
