Job Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping & Reporting
Record daily financial transactions including payments, receipts, and journal entries.
Maintain accurate general ledger and chart of accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices, payments, and hospital receivables.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up for timely collection.
Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable.
Bank and Cash Management
Reconcile bank statements regularly.
Manage daily cash flow and oversee petty cash transactions.
Ensure proper recording of daily patient collections and service payments.
Asset Accounting & Cost Tracking
Maintain hospital fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.
Monitor departmental costs (e.g., inpatient services, outpatient services, diagnostics).
Track equipment purchases and asset utilization.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Analyze financial performance and identify budget variances.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
Audit & Compliance
Assist in internal and external audit processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
Maintain proper financial controls and documentation.
Cross-Department Coordination
Coordinate with hospital departments such as billing, administration, procurement, and IT.
Support financial reporting related to hospital operations and services.
