Job Context:
∎ RDRS is a leading national development organisation in Bangladesh working for the poor and underprivileged communities across the country with focus on north-west Bangladesh. Established in 1972 as the field programme of Lutheran World Federation, Geneva, RDRS became a national development organisation in 1997 under the Trust Act. RDRS provides development services to over 3 million households in 32 districts through its four broad programmes - civil empowerment, quality of life, food security & environment, and economic empowerment & opportunity.
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications from eligible and deserving candidates to fill up the position of "Accountant" under UN Women Project. The position based at Cox`s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintenance of book of accounts under computerized accounting system and donor requirements like face form, transaction list with other relevant reports;
∎ Ensuring compliance with financial & Accounting rules & regulation as mentioned in following manuals personnel, operational, Book Keeping & Accounting Manual;
∎ Operation of Petty cash and certification of petty expenses;
∎ Preparation of payroll, disbursement and timely deposit of govt. taxes to tax Authority;
∎ Statement of invoices & other bills and deduction of income tax & VAT at source and timely deposit of Govt. taxes to tax;
∎ Accounts specification for preparation of different schedules like local contribution, staff advance bank;
∎ reconciliation statement inters project current account payroll reconciliation and other reconciliation;
∎ Preparing of proposal according to necessary in respect of opening/closing of Bank Account, mode of operation and maintaining separate list of bank account with signatories;
∎ Provide assistance for any type of procurement at unit level;
∎ Assist Management to prepare budget and operation plan and also, to control the budget limit;
∎ Any other tasks requested by the supervisor that are relevant to the job family and related to RDRS Bangladesh objectives.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two (02) years experience in similar roles;
∎ Familiar with MS Office package- especially MS Word and Excel with Accounting Software;
∎ Emailing and internet browsing capacity is must;
∎ Work under pressure and meeting deadlines;
∎ Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Salary: Tk. 33000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Weekly 2 holidays, T/A, Mobile bill
∎ Festival Bonus: 2
∎ As per Organizational Policy and Project budget.
