Job Context:
∎ Provision of life-saving WASH services to the Rohingya refugee population in Ukhiya.
∎ To work closely with Water Quality Analyst and Water Supply Engineer, conduct different water quality test, collecting samples and take initiatives based on result. His/her prime focus will be preparing chlorine mother solution and ensuring FRC standard value. Besides that, he/she has to arrange and conduct training of Pump Operators, CHPs on water quality parameter, sample collection system and water safety plan.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until January 31, 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible to develop the water quality monitoring system for the project.
∎ Ensure HTH mother solution standard and Free Residual chlorine value standard in field level.
∎ Discussing and answering any questions regarding the water quality test results.
∎ Provide technical supports to field-based sample collection & preserving data in assigned database.
∎ Calibration of Equipment like HANNA Conductivity meter, PH meter, Spectrophotometer, DR300, DR900, DR2100, Turbidity meters etc.
∎ Preparing and reviewing of specifications, Water quality test method, and test method validation of Physical, Chemical and Microbiological SOP.
∎ Receiving, labeling, and safely storing water samples to be tested.
∎ Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
∎ Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
∎ Determining and performing water quality needed for the Microbiological test (E.Coli,TC,FC ), Chemical test (As, Fe, Mn, F, Cl-, NO3- , Pb etc.) as well as physical test (pH, EC,TDS,Turbidity, Color, odor)
∎ Maintaining record of testing results.
∎ Properly maintains In- Process Control (IPC) in the laboratory.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Ability to use HACH multimeter and HANNA testing tools etc.
∎ Training development and conducting skill.
∎ Familiar with kobo data collection process.
∎ Skilled at Microsoft Office Program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ Adept at different networking mobile apps (ex: WhatsApp).
∎ Languages: English, Bangla, and Local dialect of Rohingya.
∎ Possess positive attitude as development worker, team worker and accommodative within team at community level along with development partners.
∎ Strong team working skills and ability to motivate and facilitate the work of others; ability to work independently with different teams and under matrix management;
∎ Have a clear concept of water quality testing
∎ Experience in water quality different parameter testing.
∎ Experience in using tablets & smartphones and relevant software.
∎ Ability to formulate water quality test-related technical requirements and operating Procedures.
∎ Working experience in Refugee Camps.
Salary: Tk. 32500 (Monthly)
