• Minimum of 8 years of experience in garment washing, preferably within the denim and woven apparel industry.
• Strong understanding of various washing techniques, including stone wash, enzyme wash, acid wash, garment dye, and more.
• Knowledge of fabric behavior and wash-related risks for different fabric types.
• Ability to interpret buyer tech packs and translate them into precise wash instructions.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical guidance to teams.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring that the wash quality meets buyer expectations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the product development, technical, and washing plant teams.
• Knowledge of wash chemistry and safety standards is a plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement garment washing techniques, ensuring compliance with buyer specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Product Development and Sample teams to plan and execute wash trials and washes for development samples.
• Conduct wash feasibility analysis and risk assessments to ensure proper garment performance and aesthetic requirements.
• Ensure accurate execution of wash recipes for both denim and non-denim fabrics, including enzyme washes, stone washes, garment dyeing, and special finishings.
• Troubleshoot wash-related issues during development and production phases and provide solutions to achieve desired effects.
• Monitor the wash process to ensure consistency and quality, adjusting processes as needed.
• Maintain records of all wash trials and washing standards for easy reference.
• Work closely with the washing plant team to coordinate washing schedules and ensure timely delivery of washed samples.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of washing equipment and chemicals.
