Experience:
Graduate/ Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline
· Experience in Rohingya Refugee context including WaSH and Health in emergency/humanitarian situation.
· Working experience with WASH and community engagement, PRA, Clean Camp Campaign (CCC) and relevant working experience and work experience in Cox's Bazar preferably.
. Fluency in English and Bangla; knowledge of Rohingya/Chittagonian dialect is an asset.
The proposed position of WASH & Health Promoter is critical to fulfilling the operational and to expedite the implementation of the newly awarded IRC -supported project, ensuring timely implementation, accountability, and achievement of the project’s intended outcomes.
· Conduct community-level hygiene promotion activities, including safe water use, sanitation, personal hygiene, and environmental cleanliness.
· Support the dissemination of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC)/BCC materials to promote positive behavior change.
· Facilitate group sessions, household visits, and community meetings to raise awareness on WASH and health-related topics.
· Support routine monitoring of WASH facilities and hygiene practices at community and institutional levels (e.g., water points, sanitation facilities, health centers).
· Collect, verify, and report field-level data related to hygiene promotion, community feedback, and WASH indicators.
· Identify community needs, risks, and concerns, and report findings to the MHPSS & Community Development Officer for adaptive programming.
· Promote community participation and inclusion, ensuring engagement of women, adolescents, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
· Support community feedback and accountability mechanisms, including complaints and response systems.
· Coordinate with community leaders, WASH Committees, CHWs, CHVs, and other stakeholders to strengthen local ownership of interventions.
