Responsibilities & Duties

1.   Operational Management

·   Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods

·   Ensure accurate and timely handling of Super Shop merchandise to meet store and customer demand

·   Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and delivery schedules

2.   Inventory Control

·   Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)

·   Conduct regular stock counts and audits to minimize discrepancies

·   Investigate and resolve inventory shortages, damages, or losses

3.   Staff Supervision

·   Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and storekeepers

·   Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance and productivity

·   Ensure staff follow company policies, safety rules, and standard operating procedures

4.   Health, Safety & Compliance

·   Enforce workplace health and safety standards

·   Ensure proper use of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and safety gear

·   Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment

5.   Documentation & Reporting

·   Maintain accurate records for goods received, issued, and returned

·   Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports

·   Coordinate with accounts, procurement, and store operations teams

6.   Quality Control

·   Ensure goods are stored properly to prevent damage or spoilage

·   Check quality and quantity of received goods against invoices and purchase orders

·   Handle damaged or expired products according to company policy

7.   Coordination & Communication

·   Liaise with store managers, suppliers, transporters, and logistics teams

·   Resolve delivery issues and operational bottlenecks efficiently

·   Support promotional or seasonal stock planning

8.   Process Improvement

·   Identify areas to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs

·   Implement better storage layouts and workflow processes

·   Assist management in achieving operational KPIs

9.   Key Skills Required

·   Leadership and team management

·   Inventory and warehouse management systems

·   Basic computer and reporting skills

·   Problem-solving and time management

·   Knowledge of retail/FMCG warehouse operations
