Educational Requirements:
∎ BSC in nursing with Registration from Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC). Master of Public Health (MPH) will be given preference.

∎ There is a vacancy for the following regular position based at LAMB Nursing Department, Parbatipur, Dinajpur:
∎ Job Summary: Responsible for the smooth running of own ward and also other wards including direct supervision of the nursing staff, the orientation of new nurses, patient education, and keeping the ward well stocked, organized and equipped.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Demonstrates spiritual leadership and Nursing care given in the name and spirit of Jesus Christ.
∎ Acts as liaison between the Nursing consultant/ nursing superintendent and all department staff, activities and patient care.
∎ Participates in the yearly formal evaluations of nursing staff; as well as continually reevaluation staff performance in order to improve quality of care and plan better utilization of time and abilities.
∎ Maintain a high standard of nursing care through these wards including the following:
∎ A. Direct supervision of nursing staff; working alongside of the nurse to ensure that quality care is given.
∎ B. Completes the bi-monthly duty roster for ward ways, ensuring fairness among staff as well as adequate nursing coverage for all shifts.
∎ C. Signs time sheets of nursing staff
∎ D. Assigns daily staff roles: Ward charge, running and Aids.
∎ E. Attends ward rounds and acts as a liaison between doctors, nurses and patients; ensuring doctor’s orders are understood and carried out appropriately and that patient concerns are met.
∎ F. Provides In-services on relevant topics.
∎ G. Ensures Infection Control Polices are maintained.
∎ H. Notifies the Nursing consultant /Nursing superintend of recurrent staffing issues and helps problem solve for them.
∎ Ensures those Department runs smoothly, directly communicating with Maintenance and Stores as needed, regarding the following:
∎ A. Maintains an adequate supply of necessary supplies (e.g. bandages, tapes, linen, sutures, medicines, etc) and reorders as needed.
∎ B. Is responsible for the correct use of the oxygen concentrators and ensures the oxygen cylinder supply is refilled and available as needed.
∎ C. Ensures the IV box, dressing and emergency trolleys and medicine box are at all times stocked, in order and ready for use.
∎ D. Notifies the NC/NS of recurrent ward supply/stock issues and helps problem solve for them.
∎ 6. Ensures that the Baby and Mother Friendly Hospital objectives are met in regard to Obstetric services.
∎ 7. Helps to NC/NS to run the ward within the budget.
∎ 8. Supervises the orientation of the new Nurse and Aides to the Department, assessing their skills and upgrading their training as necessary.
∎ 5. Ensure that the ward supplies are using appropriately.
∎ 6. Any other duty as may be assigned by the NC/NS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 5 years clinical experience. Administrative training required. Strong knowledge about computer operates (English and Bangla typing). Must have good communication skills in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking).

Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 23,500 per month gross. Benefits include medical care available at LAMB and Provident fund.
