Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites applications from the potential Bangladeshi national for implementing a new Project (CODEC Integrated Farm Management Farmer Field School (IFM FFS) and Agro-forestry Activities Project to Strengthening Inclusive Development) funded by UNDP, which will focus on strengthen the capacity of the population in Cox’s Bazar (Teknaf, Ukhiya, Ramu) to shape and make decisions that impact on their lives.
∎ The main objectives of the project is;
∎ 1. To strengthen community land, resource and livelihood management.
∎ 2. To increase participation and influence to shape decision making.
∎ 3. To strengthen democratic governance with responsive institutions and effective services.
∎ The Expected outcome of this project is;
∎ 1. Agriculture productions increased and diversified in targeted communities; and
∎ 2. Agro forestry production increased sustainability.
∎ The Expected outcome of this project is;
∎ 1. Agriculture productions increased and diversified in targeted communities
∎ - Enhanced knowledge and skills of communities, farmers, farmer facilitators, local service providers and monitors on improved agriculture practices.
∎ - Market linkage and access to quality farming (including agro forestry) inputs enhanced.
∎ 2. Agro forestry production increased sustainability.
∎ - Improved knowledge and skills of community people on agro-forestry systems.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ - To have adequate knowledge and experience in organizing and farmer field school, marketing, promotion of agribusiness and collective marketing.
∎ - Hands on experience on promotion of agribusiness and collective marketing by farmers will be an advantage.
∎ - Should play a vital role in increasing Agricultural production.
∎ - Good track record of planning, implementation and monitoring of farmer training programs.
∎ - S/he should have clear concept on IFM FFS approach, strong facilitation skills using various participatory methods.
∎ - Should work with NGOs as Upazila level organizer or facilitator or coordinator, or similar position in relevant projects.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Report writing skills both in English and bangla.
