Education:
    • Bachelor of Social Science (Pass) in Public Health
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Communication, or a related field.

  • Academic qualifications may be considered for candidates with substantial experience in the relevant field.

  • Experience in community mobilization or SBC activities, preferably within an emergency context.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) is going to implement the Contingency Partnership to Respond to Emergencies in Chattogram Division, funded by UNICEF Bangladesh; which will assist affected populations in Chittagong, Comilla, Feni, Lakshmipur and Noakhali districts., Covering health, nutrition, WASH, child protection, education, and social behavior change.

The project targets over 600,000 individuals, focusing on pregnant women, children, and vulnerable groups. Key activities include medical camps, nutritional support, safe water and sanitation facilities, child protection, and educational continuity, all integrated with capacity development.

Duration - 05 months

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation:

  • Execute SBC activities at the upazila level, focusing on interpersonal communication sessions and community engagement.

  • Ensure the dissemination of RCCE messages through community-level miking, radio/FM, and SMS.

Community Mobilization:

  • Engage with local community members to promote participation in flood emergency response activities.

  • Work closely with local leaders, faith-based leaders, and teachers to ensure consistent message delivery.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track the effectiveness of SBC interventions in the upazila.

  • Collect and report community feedback to the SBC District Facilitator.

  • Support the AAP system in addressing and referring feedback to appropriate channels.

PSEA Policy-

S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Contingent Task Assignments:

  • The Project Head may assign additional tasks based on the demands of the emergency situation and program requirements.
