Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree in social science/ LLB/Development Studies, or a related subject.

Year of Experience: 3 years of proven experience in GBV prevention under UNHCR-funded programmes.

Mandatory Requirements:  ·       

  • Candidate needs to have in-depth knowledge of the Girl Shine module and facilitation experience.·         

  • Proficiency in English and Chattogram dialect.·       

  • Ability to work under pressure.

Duration: 01 January 2026 to 31 March 2026 (Strong Possibility of Extension)

Responsibilities & Context:

Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the Girl Shine & WGSS Officer for implementing `Education and Protection for Refugee Community (EPRC) Project` funded by UNHCR, located at Ukhiya & Teknaf Cox’s Bazar)

Position Title: Girl Shine & WGSS Officer

C. 1. Key areas of Performance/ Responsibility/ Accountability:

a)  Ensure smooth and quality implementation of WELP activities (Tailoring and Salon) in line with work plans, donor requirements, and guidelines.

b) Provide technical and managerial supervision to WELP trainers.

c) Ensure training sessions follow proper instruction, lesson plans, and agreed training schedules.

d)  Monitor trainers’ attendance, performance, and adherence to protection and safeguarding standards.

e) Ensure training environments are safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning.

f) Ensure proper maintenance of trainee attendance sheets, progress tracking, and completion records

g) Compile weekly and monthly training progress reports and share with line management.

h)  Oversee the use, care, and maintenance of tailoring machines, salon equipment, tools, and consumables.

i)   Maintain updated stock and asset registers and report losses or damages promptly as well as requisition of training materials.

j)  Responsible for maintaining coordination within the GBV team. In addition, collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth activities based on need.

k)  Submit regular progress reports to the supervisor and ensure reports are submitted on time.

l) Ensure timely completion of training sessions and adherence to project schedules.

m) The respective person will promote and uphold safeguarding policies and ensure safeguarding principles are integrated into all activities to protect staff, beneficiaries, and community members from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.

n) Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same.

Safeguarding & PSEA:

  • S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)`s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

  • Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
