Job Summary

• The Officer – MEAL will work under the supervision of the coordinator–MEAL within the MEAL Department. The role is responsible for day-to-day field-level monitoring to ensure quality project implementation and compliance with project standards. The Officer-MEAL will maintain a two-way flow of communication on project progress and implementation issues. S/he will develop and apply monitoring tools aligned with the project logframe to measure progress and performance. The position will support the development of data collection tools and reporting templates in line with MEAL system requirements, and will lead baseline, endline, and outcome assessments. The Officer-MEAL will conduct regular data quality assessments and develop and operationalize accountability tools and frameworks, ensuring effective functioning of the accountability system and timely accountability reporting. The role also promotes project learning by documenting lessons learned and best practices.
