Additional Requirements:

• Age At least 35 years

• Minimum 2 years work experience in Emergency Response, Resilience, and livelihoods development projects, where at least 1 year of proven experience in DRR.

• Proven experience in working with the Iine department,

• Highly developed relationship-building,

• Influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze strategic trends and develop appropriate plans and responses to manage crises or risks.

• Ability to work both in an advisory and a hands-on implementation capacity and to supervise, train, mentor, and coach staff;

• Willingness to live and travel in Char and rural project areas;

• Cultural sensitivity, team spirit, and a can-do attitude of service;

• Able to multi-task, problem-solve, and deal with complex relationships and situations;

• Fluent in spoken and written Bangla and English language skills and computer literacy;

• Must have the willingness to ride Motor Cycle;

• Ability to work under stressful situations and meet deadlines

• Experience in Community Mobilization

• Age may be relaxed for experience in DRR/Climate Resilience development project under World Food Program.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

Upazila Coordinator(SRSP, SLP, DRR) will implement field-level activities, Follow-up Field Facilitator activities, monitoring, coaching, Mentoring, community consultation, stakeholder engagement, and contact between RDRS and the program participants. S/he will coordinate and conduct orientation, meetings, and workshops with community people, volunteers, and other stakeholders. Coordinate and provide support to the Project Management, Flood affected people, UzDMC, UDMC, WDMC, FDMC, etc.

The position is based in Kurigram(Ulipur, Rowmari & Nageswari) and requires moving upazila/ Union level to all working areas. The Upazila Coordinator will assist with project planning, advocacy, networking, resource mobilization, Ensuring Flood Insurance Customer selection and processing, and Fulfilling the target beneficiaries of Flood insurance within the timeline.

Report writing and document preparation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the project team, capacity building of the Field Facilitator of Shock-Responsive Social Protection (SRSP), Anticipatory Action Project, Seasonal Livelihood Programming (SLP) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Project, civil society engagement, and other relevant areas.
• Beneficiaries were surveyed by door-to-door visits by KOBO software and prepared database
• Coordination and collaboration with local government, upazila, and district level Govt. departments, private sectors, NGOs, civil societies, and relevant partners.
• Provide day-to-day operational support to Field facilitators including performance management, capacity building, etc.
• Timely implementation of DIP activity.
• Prepare progress reports, success stories, and other reports as required for the project.
• Day-to-day updated data checking and validation of the data according to software.
• Follow up and assist Farmers Hub meetings, Group meetings, Yard meetings, etc.
• Assist in conducting awareness sessions at the community level.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual & annual technical and financial reports.
• Understanding Gender and organizational Gender Policy and acting accordingly
• Ensure timely, effective implementation and delivery of project activities as per the project work plan by ensuring quality and setting strategies and guidelines.
• Coordination with stockholders, partners, and others.
• Organize and conduct project study and evaluations in collaboration with partners and stakeholders
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line management.
