Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh.
∎ From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisherfolk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for our ESHO SHIKHI ("Come and Learn") Project located at 23 Upazila under 5 districts: Pirojpur, Patuakhali, Chattogram, Cox`s Bazar and Bagerhat.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate achievement of programmatic objectives IR 1, and IR 4;
∎ Plan, implement and liaison relevant Esho Shikhi activities in the Upazila and school level.
∎ Planning, implementation and review of progress/DIPs, budget Utilization and ensure approval and endorsement of all plans
∎ Target school community engagement/Awareness and close coordination with quality enhancement committee.
∎ Ensure enrollment of marginalized children to increase their attendance, improve learning outcomes, reduce drop out, ensure cycle completion, transition to secondary school, reduce disaster risk, ensure safe school environment and continuation of education during and after disaster, floods, etc.
∎ Prepare plan for training, school level events and school level data collection in consultation with URC, UEO and head teachers.
∎ Collect and verify all upazila level expenditures/ expenses (training, workshop etc.) and ensure the supply of required documents to central level Esho Shikhi team.
∎ Build sensitization and ability of SMCs, PTAs and Community to manage the effects of disasters' shocks and stressors and adapt resilience planning for Continuation of education in emergency.
∎ Work with Head Teachers to enhanced Parents, SMC, PTA and Community engagement to support children's quality education; create a supportive learning environment at home & schools (in selected subject Bangla) and increased the preparedness for primary students return to school.
∎ Prepare qualitative periodical report & documents of the project.
∎ Provide necessary guidance to field staffs on social accountability, gender and disability inclusion activities and associated tools & techniques.
∎ Share the update project information with the project management and receive necessary feedback/suggestion to implement the project effectively.
∎ Ensure enrollment of marginalized children to increase their attendance, improve learning outcomes, reduce drop out, ensure cycle completion, transition to secondary school, reduce disaster risk, ensure safe school environment and continuation of education during and after disaster, floods, etc. Supervise Head Teacher to mobilize SMC with the support of the activity.
∎ Build sensitization and ability of SMCs, PTAs and Community to manage the effects of disasters' shocks and stressors and adapt resilience planning for Continuation of education in emergency.
∎ Enhanced Sensitization, Awareness and Ability of SMCs, PTAs and Community to mitigate and manage the effects of disasters' shocks and stressors on quality education access and continuation of education in emergency and adapt resilience planning and initiatives.
∎ Strengthened Parents, SMCs, PTAs and Community engagement to support marginalized children's quality education in the learning process in selected subject Bangla.
∎ Enhanced Parents, SMC, PTA and Community engagement to support children's quality education; create a supportive learning environment at home & schools (in selected subject Bangla) and increased the preparedness for primary students return to school.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
∎ Strong communication skills with Gob level spokesperson/officer
∎ Sound knowledge of early grade reading, teacher training, student assessment, mentoring, community engagement etc.
∎ Should have experience in community mobilization, education in emergencies
∎ Maintain regular liaison as well as to help program personnel to establish working relationship among GoB, Local Administration, and Private Sector at upazila level.
∎ Working Upazila will be 23 upazila: Bhandaria, Kaukhali, Mothbaria,Pirojpur Sadar, Zianagar, Kalapara, Rangabali, Golachipa, Mirzagonj, Anwara, Banshkhali,Patiya, Chakaria, Maheshkhali, Pekua, Bagerhat Sadar, Chitalmari, Fakirhat, Kachua, Mollarhat, Mongla, Rampal, Sarankhola.

Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
