Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for our ESHO SHIKHI (“Come and Learn”) Project for cohort-1.The duration of this phase will be continued up to September 30, 2024.
∎ Coordinate achievement of programmatic objectives, planning, implementation and review of progress/DIPs, budget Utilization and ensure approval and endorsement of all plans
∎ 2. Coordinate regular planning, accountability and follow up of key performance indicators and overall quality education access and assurance matters
∎ 3. Target school community engagement/Awareness and close coordination with quality enhancement committee.
∎ 4. Ensure enrollment of marginalized children to increase their attendance, improve learning outcomes, reduce drop out, ensure cycle completion, transition to secondary school, reduce disaster risk, ensure safe school environment and continuation of education during and after disaster, floods, etc. Supervise Head Teacher to mobilize SMC with the support of the activity.
∎ 5. Build sensitization and ability of SMCs, PTAs and Community to manage the effects of disasters’ shocks and stressors and adapt resilience planning for Continuation of education in emergency.
∎ 6. Enhanced Sensitization, Awareness and Ability of SMCs, PTAs and Community to mitigate and manage the effects of disasters’ shocks and stressors on quality education access and continuation of education in emergency and adapt resilience planning and initiatives.
∎ 7. Strengthened Parents, SMCs, PTAs and Community engagement to support marginalized children’s quality education in the learning process in selected subject Bangla.
∎ 8. Enhanced Parents, SMC, PTA and Community engagement to support children’s quality education; create a supportive learning environment at home & schools (in selected subject Bangla) and increased the preparedness for primary students return to school.
∎ 9. Prepare qualitative periodical report & documents of the project.
∎ 10. Provide necessary guidance to field staffs on social accountability, gender, livelihood graduation activities and associated tools & techniques.
∎ 11. Share the update project information with the project management and receive necessary feedback/suggestion to implement the project effectively.
∎ C.2. Communication and Stakeholders Relations:
∎ a. Serve as the primary point of contact for all CODEC ESHO SHIKHI Project activities at upazila level.
∎ b. Ensure adherence to CODEC and Winrock International mandated marking and branding.
∎ c. Ensuring project activities are implemented according to agreement between Winrock International and CODEC with adequate participation of beneficiaries.
∎ d. Maintain regular liaison as well as to help program personnel to establish working relationship among GoB, Local Administration, and Private Sector at upazila level.
∎ e. Help to ensure buy-in and participation of the stakeholders to the project objectives and activities including GoB authorities.
∎ C.3. Work Supervision:
∎ The Upazila Coordinator will work under the Technical Supervision and overall guidance of Winrock International as well as Program Specialist for Community Engagement with respect to administrative supervision responsible to the employer or his designated person.
∎ D. Knowledge Management:
∎ a. You will be responsible to maintain a Work Journal, where you will document your learnings, mistakes, challenges, experiences, accumulated knowledge, etc either in English/Bengali and share with your line manager/CODEC management when required.
∎ b. You will be responsible to coordinate with all teams/departments of your project/program to document and share all knowledge that can be relevant and beneficial for the organization.
∎ E. PSEA:
∎ S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
