Job Description:

Design oil filled 11KV distribution and 33KV Power transformers, custom build or special type transformer (Electrical and Mechanical both parts) according to IEC, IEEE or Customer technical specification.

Responsibilities:

• Design different type of transformer core and windings such as wound core or stacked core.

• Perform overall transformer design calculations and detailed coil and insulation design.

• Perform cooling calculations and select cooling components and other major components and accessories as needed.

• Prepare transformer design summary and bill of materials (BOM). Coordinate with relevant department (i.e. Supply chain Department).

• Implement the transformer design and Coordinate between the electrical team and other departments to ensure all activities are being performed as the design evolves.

• Conduct in electrical design reviews and transformer testing (routine and special tests). Provide technical support as needed to the Test Department as they test your designs. Provide expected results and required tests in advance. Review final test data to evaluate your designs.

• Coordinate with quality control (QC) team to ensure product quality.

• Lead R&D team and coordinate with the Engineering team to analyze and optimize existing design to ensure sustainable product development.

• Maintain the documentation and revisions as required during the design evolution.

• Provide report and coordinate with line manager and Train others as required.

• Prepare electrical and mechanical technical deliverables (Technical specifications, datasheets, drawings (2D and 3D), etc.).

• Ensure that quality audits of engineering work are carried out in accordance with project procedures and the quality assurance plan. Respond to inquiries regarding technical aspects of transformers from customers, production department.
