Responsibilities & Context:
Relevance of the Position:
A skilled and experienced engineer is required to develop new transformer designs, ensure the performance of electrical transformers, and coordinate with the production process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design cores and windings of various types of transformers, such as Wound Core or Stacked Core.
Perform overall transformer design calculations and prepare winding and insulation designs.
Conduct cooling calculations and select cooling components and other major materials as required.
Prepare transformer design summary and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., Supply Chain Department).
Implement the design and maintain coordination between the electrical team and other departments.
Conduct design reviews and transformer testing (Routine and Special Tests); provide technical support during testing as needed.
Ensure product quality by coordinating with the Quality Control (QC) team.
Lead the Research & Development (R&D) team and analyze and improve existing designs.
Maintain documentation and revisions according to design evolution.
Prepare reports in coordination with the line manager and provide training to others if required.
Prepare electrical and mechanical technical documentation (Technical Specifications, Datasheets, 2D/3D Drawings).
Ensure quality audits of engineering work in accordance with project procedures and standards.
Provide answers to technical queries from customers, production department, or other divisions.
