Job Context:
∎ Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is one of the leading public health research organizations in Bangladesh. Currently, CIPRB is inviting application from the qualified candidates to fulfill the following vacant post immediately.
∎ The Centre for Injury Prevention & Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has made a plan to implement the project entitled Environmental Health and Climate Change in Bangladesh: An introductory training for three audiences
∎ Duration: Initial appointment will be for 12 months (with possibility for further extension based on funding availability and performance) including 3 months probationary period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall guidance and supervision of Director, RCH department/ CIPRB, the Training Manager will perform the following duties:
∎ Act as the key person on management of training on Environmental Health and Climate Change in Bangladesh and its effect on Sexual and Reproductive health for Upazila level senior and community level stakeholders and health workers
∎ Provide necessary direction to organize, plan and implement the training project and ensure the overall quality of work
∎ Lead the training conduction at different level from national level to local level
∎ Provide Technical guidance in developing, implementation guideline and tools on training need assessment and evaluation
∎ Participate in all planning meeting before commencement of work with UNFPA and other stakeholders
∎ Team mobilization, and orientation, mobilization of logistics, equipments and office establishment
∎ Liaison with UNFPA, DGHS, DGFP, DGNM and the CIPRB Technical Team
∎ Organize consultative meetings to finalise methodology and work plan
∎ Assist in developing a participatory quality improvement monitoring and response system, monitoring and supervision guidelines and tools.
∎ Provide technical assistance for process documentation and reporting
∎ Develop relevant M&E frame work, tools and support quality assurance in data collection and report writing
∎ Provide technical support in development of Orientation and skill building trainings on trainers (TOT) and trainees
∎ Monitoring, evaluation & mentoring the training coordinator, quality assurance officers, district training coordinators, training facilitators.
∎ Participate in the national and sub national advocacy for ensuring the quality of training
∎ Routine field visit to the project areas for supportive supervision and mentoring and ensuring quality of work
Additional Requirements:
∎ 7 to 10 years experiences on public health programme management with at least 04 years experiences in training preferably within the environmental health and climate changes.
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates having academic training in environmental health and/ or climate changes.
∎ Good exposure to national strategy development and networks across Bangladesh government and development partners
∎ Experience working within the Bangladesh Government health service delivery system
∎ Strong academic background to work in public health research /training/ programme.
∎ Knowledge of budgeting techniques and the ability to manage budgets.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable depending upon qualification and experiences
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Travel and daily allowance as per organization policy of the organization. These costs are excluded from the remuneration.
