Job Context:

∎ POST TYPE : 100% (Project Base/ Contractual) GRADE : Level-7
∎ ROLE PURPOSE:Training, Gender, Equality and Inclusion Officerof SDA-RMNCAH in Coastal Bangladeshproject is primary responsible for capacity building of project and program staff as well manage and maintain gender related equality and inclusion issues in project and programs.This position will also ensure the project achievement related to training needs assessment, development of training module, training plan and curriculum and facilitated training session for developing health related professionals and integrate gender issues with project and ensure gender focus programs and development

∎ Reports to:Project Coordinator(PC)
∎ Dotted line management:Project Operational Focal ofSDA-RMNCAH and Donor and other Partner organization
∎ Dimensions:40% of field visit required
∎ Staff directly reporting to this post: N/A
∎ Functional relationship: Director, Manager-Operations of SDA-RMNCAH,Finance, Admin& Logistics Officer
Job Responsibilities:
∎ KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
∎ Key Area 1:Implement Capacity Building (Design, development and implementation) initiatives and creating learning environment for the project. (50% of time)
∎ Conduct TNA for project capacity building and learning issues identification for smooth capacity building
∎ Develop effective training curriculum, module and materials as appropriate for the target groups and partners and relevant stakeholders
∎ Develop yearly training calendar, and training related publications for capacity development
∎ Facilitate training session independently, including supervision as well finding/outsourcing key relevant facilitator for project capacity building issues and development.
∎ Prepare training report upon completion of each training program submit to supervisor and others as required
∎ 6.Maintain good working relationship with project team and facilitators volunteers and relevant GO NGO stakeholders for communication and capacity building purpose
∎ Ensure training documentations and collect information related training and development
∎ Established one information centre regarding project and program with capacity building issues
∎ Key Area 2: Design and implement Gender Equality and Inclusion initiatives for the project (40% of time)
∎ Uphold Gender principle Equality and inclusion to ensure gender sensitive environment in project and programs.
∎ Develop Gender inclusion model to ensure communities rights in health facilities.
∎ Engage coastal communities (especially women) to ensure access to health care support and facilities.
∎ Influence government, private sector and local communities in gender responsive activities.
∎ Conduct and facilitate training on gender inclusion and equality in project areas.
∎ Assist Project Coordinator in the management of overall activities of SDA-MNCH project.
∎ Promoting women and youth leadership for gender and development and rights.
∎ Celebrate and cooperate gender related national and internationals days observation focusing SDA-MNCH project
∎ Key Area 3: Other ad-Hoc tasks (10% of time)
∎ Collate RMNCH Specialist and Project coordinator for key staff capacity building issues and its formulation and development
∎ Assist to Prepare Monthly, quarterlyand annual project report for the project and share them with project team for decision making
∎ Any other assignment by SDA Management required

∎ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
∎ ESSENTIAL
∎ Working Experience: At least 5years' experience in Training and Gender related a related field, ideally with experience in Health program/ project.
∎
∎ Knowledge: Should have clear concept on developing Capacity Building and Gender issues system, implementation, documentation, communication and dissemination.
∎ Skills:
∎ Excellent communication skills both in English and Bengali
∎ Should have ability to interpret report writing skills in English
∎ Should be proficient in computer operation, particularly, inMS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint
