The "AI Skills Training for TVET Students in Bangladesh" is an 18-month project (ending Dec 2026) aiming to equip 10,000 final-year TVET students with essential AI skills. Led by BRAC’s Education Programme and Social Innovation Lab, with support from Google and Asian Venture Philanthropy Network. It tackles the job market's skills gap. The training, based on Google’s AI modules, covers productivity tools, prompt engineering, and AI ethics. Delivered through a blended model of online and live sessions via BRAC’s LMS, the project aims to boost employability and promote digital innovation across industries in Bangladesh.
Job Purpose
The Trainer will deliver engaging AI skills training to TVET and Madrasa students through a blended model, including in-person and live online sessions. Responsibilities include facilitating learning, guiding project work, and coordinating institutional preparations to ensure a smooth and impactful training experience.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-person orientation sessions to introduce students to the project, the LMS, and foundational AI concepts.
Facilitate weekly live interactive online classes (via Zoom in LMS) for Q&A, demonstrations, and group discussions.
Guide students through their self-paced learning modules, assignments, and final capstone projects.
Create an inclusive and interactive learning environment that motivates students to complete the course.
Act as the primary project representative at assigned TVET and Madrasa institutions.
Coordinate with institutional focal points to schedule sessions, arrange logistics (e.g., classrooms for in-person events), and mobilize students.
Manage local stakeholder relationships to ensure smooth project implementation.
Provide academic support and encouragement to students throughout the course.
Monitor student attendance, participation, and assignment submission, and conduct follow-ups as needed.
Administer assessments and collect feedback from students to contribute to program improvement.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements
Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
Comfortable with using technology, including digital learning platforms and online meeting tools (e.g., Zoom).
A keen interest in and ability to learn and teach foundational AI concepts.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of ICT and ability to work under pressure.
