Experience:
Diploma/ B.Sc in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering from UGC approved reputed institution
● 1-2 years’ working experience as a vocational trainer in the relevant field.
● Experience in the humanitarian or development field is an added benefit.
Knowledge:
● Knowledge on relevant vocational trade, livelihood, coordination, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding.
● Knowledge on people management.
Skills:
● Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive environment.
● Effective communication and presentation skills.
● Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel).

Purpose:
Technical Trainer, Solar, Food Security, Skills and Livelihood (FSSL) will facilitate formal and center-based Solar (PV) System Installation and Maintenance training to the selected Host/Rohingya youths following the training module. This position will support the implementation of day to day activities according to proposal & plan in host and camps of the Rohingya community.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation of skills training in the skills centers according to the modules.
Development of training delivery plan, session plan, job sheet, progress reports, information sheet, observation checklist, etc., as needed.
Assist the operational aspects of center-based skills training programs in Solar (PV) System Installation and Maintenance.
Ensuring the availability of learning course materials/CBLMs and other supplies at the centers on time.
Provide practical training/practice sessions for the training participants on the subject matter as per the training module.
Ensure training quality and learning of the participants that would enable them to successfully complete the training and get certified.
To assist Specialist - Vocational Training on technical content and instructional methods,upkeep, initiate necessary repairs and maintenance of the skills centers.
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of the skills training participants information.
Performing Community Feedback and Response Mechanism functions.
Provide safeguarding, PSEA, and CFRM awareness sessions weekly to the participants.
Recruitment of volunteers in the skills centers.
Establish a vision/dream among the participants about post-training work engagement.
Coordinate and assist Specialist-Vocational Training, Project Officer-Market Linkage in monthly payments to volunteers, participants, laborers and others.
Supervision of the skills center volunteers.
Ensure continuous monitoring of the training courses to identify issues, gaps, and find proper solutions.
Showcase the best practices of livelihood activities and disseminate the best technologies among the project beneficiaries for income generation.
Perform as the technical expert on the subject matter and provide technical assistance, guidance to the Assistant Project Officers.
Prepare daily and weekly reports as may be required by BRAC and the donor agency.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with communities and other stakeholders
Represent BRAC in coordination and collaboration meetings and other forums with the government, the UN, and other NGOs and agencies.
Contribute to the project's M&E system and ensure that M&E activities are undertaken regularly and learning fed into management for decision making.
Execute any other task assigned by the supervisor/ management
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
