Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development, working in the greater Chattogram division including Hill Tracts (CHT) since 1985 (International Youth Year). YPSA is going to implement a project titled “SheFarms” at Chakaria and Mathamuhuri in Cox’s Bazar. The project will be implemented with fund from the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and technical support from Plan International Bangladesh.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
• Facilitate day-to-day implementation of project activities in the assigned Union and directly oversee the three Community Mobilizers.
• Ensure timely, quality, and sustainable implementation of project activities in accordance with the approved work plan, budget, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Monitor field-level implementation, identify gaps and challenges, and provide timely updates and recommendations to the Project Coordinator.
• Conduct monthly field monitoring visits to female farmer groups and youth activities and document implementation progress and issues.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure proper documentation and records of project activities and achievements.
• Collect, analysis, document, and disseminate monitoring information and key findings.
• Prepare periodic and annual progress reports focusing on assigned project components.
• Arrange and facilitate trainings, workshops, seminars, and other capacity-building activities for beneficiaries and stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient use of project resources in line with approved budgets and value-for-money principles.
• Provide technical and operational support to Community mobilizers and beneficiaries based on identified needs.
• Monitor contextual changes and provide relevant updates to the Project Coordinator to inform project implementation and direction.
• Identify good practices, lessons learned, challenges, and emerging issues and document them for project learning and advocacy.
2. Technical Responsibilities
• Verify the formal establishment and governance documentation of female farmer groups in the assigned Union and contribute to achieving the project target
• Provide technical oversight of demonstration plots across the five target Unions, including selection of hazard-appropriate seed varieties.
• Coordinate with DAE Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officers (SAAOs) on Farmer Field Day planning and joint management of demonstration plots.
• Support mobilization and quarterly meeting arrangements of the SheFarms-Leaders Association at Union level.
• Conduct market assessments to identify appropriate and market-specific income opportunities for youth and young adults.
• Support to the development and implementation of Individual Action Plans (IAP), Family Development Plans (FDP), and Business Development Plans (BDP) based on market analysis.
• Maintain strategic partnerships and networks with financial service providers, employers, private-sector actors, and other market actors and relevant stakeholders for job placement and economic opportunities.
• Provide technical support to staff and beneficiaries on livelihood, employment, enterprise, and market-related issues.
3. IT Competencies
• Maintain electronic records and databases related to beneficiaries, farmer groups, youth participants, activities, monitoring, and project progress.
• Use MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint for documentation, data management, analysis, reporting, and presentations.
• Use email, internet, and other common IT applications for communication, coordination, and information management.
• Prepare basic tables, charts, presentations, and monitoring summaries using relevant IT applications.
4. Others
• Escalate safeguarding concerns identified at Union level to the designated project safeguarding focal point.
• Represent YPSA and Plan International in relevant local-level coordination platforms and networks.
• Maintain effective working relationships with Union Parishad, DAE, government departments, service providers, private-sector actors, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Support visibility, networking, learning, and scale-up of project interventions in the program areas.
• Share relevant learning, success stories, and implementation experiences to contribute to project advocacy and organizational learning.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project management in support of project objectives.
