Mandatory Requirements:
Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the position of Technical Supervisor-BIP from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing ‘‘Education and Protection for Refugee Children (EPRC) Project’’ funded by UNHCR located at Ukhiya & Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.
Area of Performance/Responsibility/Accountability:
Technical Supervisor-BIA & BID will take a proactive role in reviewing, and drafting BIA and BID reports referred by UNHCR to CODEC and submit to CPCMPC following the deadline.
She/he will also oversee and maintain good communication with the case management team to collect draft BIDs and BIA and provide feedback to the case management team, following the checklist and Dos and Don’ts of BIDs.
Oversee the UNHCR proGres to ensure smooth case updates following the procedure and provide feedback to the case management team based on need.
She/he will represent CODEC in the BID panel meeting at Cox’s Bazar level.e) She/ He will provide hands-on and technical support to the respective Case Management team including volunteers to ensure and strengthen quality case management at the field level.
She/he will ensure proper support to the CM officer following the confidentiality and the guiding principles of Case Management.
Through frequent progress reviews and in-depth field visits, she/he will work with the case management team to follow up on assigned BIA and BID cases to make sure cases are submitted within predetermined deadlines.
She/he will support CPCMC in terms of reviewing self-initiated BIA and BID to ensure smooth operation of case management considering the immediate support to children at risk who require urgent support.
She/he will manage BIA and BID cases in line with BIP guidelines, CSP, SOPs, CPMS, Inter-agency Case Management Guidelines and other related guidelines.
Ensure that the data collection and storage process follow the data protection protocols and confidentiality principles.
Assist Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator, Child Protection Specialist, Information Management Specialist, MEAL, and SSCD in all capacity-building training and reporting.
Identify the needs and gaps at the field level and plan to enhance to capacity of the case management team in consultation with the Project Coordinator and CPCMC.
He/she will be responsible for maintaining the report and documentation on an AGD basis and sharing with senior management on a need-to-know basis.
She/he will also oversee the different trackers, especially BIA and BID, and provide feedback to the team in consultation with CPCMC and IMS to ensure proper data management.
He/she will periodically visit outstanding camps to observe the regular activities of volunteers and provide technical support to registration-related cases.
Reporting & Documentation.
She/ He will collect and verify monthly BIA and BID reports from the CMO.
Develop and submit monthly reports to the Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator with the collaboration of the Case Management Officer.
Submit monthly work plan and accomplishment report to Child Protection-Case Management Coordinator.
Ensure the work plan, analyse the accomplishment report and provide required feedback to the Case Management Officer.
She/ He will work on any other report requested by PC.
Coordination & Representation:
Attend monthly coordination meetings of the Child Protection team of CODEC and share monthly achievements/challenges with CPCMC prior to joining the meeting.
Represent CODEC in different child protection case management forums including but not limited to CMTWG, BID panel, training, etc.
Maintain good communication with the UNHCR field team and Stakeholders to adhere to the child protection concern.
Agree to comply with CODEC Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding standards and other policies are upheld.
She/he will maintain strong coordination and collaboration within CP prevention and response team.
Safegurding and PSEA:
S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.
Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program`s goals on safeguarding implementation.
Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
