Bachelor degree of nutrition & related subject; Masters in nutrition or related subject will be given preference.

Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience on nutrition and experience working in the community.

Good computer knowledge, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, internet & email writing and excellent spoken and written English language skills are essential, as well as the ability to produce quality reports.

A valid motorcycle driving license is required.

LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.

There is a vacancy for the following contractual positions at the LAMB under Community Health and Development Program (CHDP) for the MAnagement of Malnutrition in Infants under 6 months (MAMI) Project.

Job Summary: Responsible for achieving assigned tasks & objectives defined for the project through organizational values, principles, cultures, policies in efficient, effective & quality manner. Responsible for monitoring of project progress and reporting; capacity building of the data collection team, close monitoring & supportive supervision. Coordinate with the field data collection team & research team. Responsible for working with other research team & MAMI project team staff.

JOB DUTIES:

• Take full responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and quality of data collected throughout the project. This includes validating data to confirm its completeness and correctness, as well as managing all aspects related to data handling and storage to maintain integrity.

• Efficiently manage time and resources to ensure that all data collection activities are completed within the established deadlines. Proactively plan schedules and adjust timelines as necessary to meet project goals on time.

• Facilitate effective coordination and communication between field staff involved in data collection and the MAMI project team. This includes organizing meetings, sharing updates, and resolving any issues that arise to ensure smooth operations.

• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for field staff to enhance their skills and capacity in data collection techniques, research protocols, and ethical standards. Continuously assess and address training needs to maintain high-quality performance.

• Conduct regular follow-ups and provide supportive supervision to field staff during data collection activities. Monitor progress, offer guidance, and troubleshoot challenges to ensure adherence to quality standards and protocols.

• Provide assistance and support to Union facilitators and volunteers who contribute to data collection efforts. This includes clarifying roles, offering technical advice, and ensuring their effective involvement in the research process.

• Oversee both the administrative functions (such as documentation, reporting, and resource management) and the technical components (such as data analysis, software use, and methodological adherence) related to the research project, ensuring seamless integration of these elements.

• Serve as a key liaison between the MAMI project staff and field personnel, fostering strong working relationships and clear communication channels. This role involves coordinating collaborative efforts, sharing information, and aligning objectives to support the overall success of the project.

Around TK. 40,000/- per month gross. Other benefits include provident fund, festival allowance once per year, and critical illness and death benefit.
