Experience:

• 2 to 4 years

• Minimum Diploma in Agriculture from any government recognised educational institution. Higher degrees in related fields will be considered as added advantage.

• 2 to 4 years

• Age: 28-35 years (as per date of NID card)

• At least 02-04 years` relevant hands-on experience.

• Sound knowledge in farmer`s group mobilization, crop production plan development; training organization and facilitation, and Agri-entrepreneur development.

• Ability to build linkage with local buyers and traders for market channel establishment, and skill in generating reports.

• Must have computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must have a valid motorcycle driving license.

ASA is one of the largest self-sufficient microfinance institutions (MFIs) in the country as well as in the world. This organization is operating its microfinance program covering about 70 lakh members with the support of more than 26 thousand capable employees through its 3,074 branches spread across the country. Currently, ASA is looking to fill up "Technical Officer (Agriculture)" position under its agricultural program. Major roles & responsibilities of this position include:

• Planning, implementing, and monitoring of activities under the agriculture wing as well as related bilateral projects.

• Assessing the activities related to crop production, management, and marketing.

• Regularly visiting groups of farmers, monitoring the training and demonstrations.

• Maintaining regular communication with farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, local level GO.

• Developing a business plan, facilitating the Krishi Kendra (Farmer Center) committee for its operation.

• Organizing and coordinate different issue-based workshops and seminars.

• Supporting to other Agricultural project implementation in the working areas.

• Undertaking any other lawful responsibilities as assigned by the office/supervisor.

• Salary: Tk 33,600/- BDT per month.

• Probation period will be 1 (one) year long. After successful completion of the probationary period, the employee will be accommodated in the regular Pay Scale of ASA.

• All admissible benefits like Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Yearly Increment, Festival Allowance, Nabobarsha Allowance (Boishakhy), Welfare Fund and Employee`s Group Benefit Fund will be attributed as per ASA`s rules and regulations.
