∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Working experience WASH response. Working in Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response Program.
∎ Professional work experience in humanitarian project implementation, monitoring, operation, and reporting.
∎ Experience in the design, construction, and supervision of WASH & Shelter infrastructure.
∎ Proficient knowledge of standard computer software (AutoCAD, GIS, MS Word, Excel and project management software).
∎ Demonstrates adaptiveness to change and ability to manage complexities.
∎ Have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E system, large data-based management, monitoring of WASH based programs and socio-economic status.
∎ Good communication and networking skills both in Bangla & English.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the effective implementation of WASH interventions with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The role involves providing strategic and technical support to the project team and ensuring optimal utilization of resources. In this context, NGO Forum is seeking a qualified professional to lead the design, planning, and budget preparation for improved WASH services in accordance with established guidelines.
∎ Duties & Responsibilities:
∎ Provide strategic and technical oversight for effective and quality delivery of WASH interventions, including infrastructure, operations, and maintenance.
∎ Assist in the development of WASH project proposals, including implementation plans, detailed budgets, and monitoring frameworks in alignment with organizational and donor guidelines.
∎ Provide strategic and technical oversight for effective and quality delivery of WASH interventions, including infrastructure, operations, and maintenance.
∎ Coordinate closely with donor agencies, WASH Sector stakeholders, and relevant government authorities to ensure harmonized planning and reporting.
∎ Oversee the preparation and application of technical guidelines, monitoring tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all WASH-related activities.
∎ Ensure regular project monitoring, problem-solving, and timely adjustments to meet targets and standards throughout the project cycle.
∎ Represent the organization in national and international WASH coordination forums, technical working groups, and donor engagements.
∎ Coordinate emergency WASH responses in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
∎ Guide and supervise field teams, providing technical direction and mentoring to camp engineers and field-based staff to ensure smooth and timely implementation.
∎ Build and maintain effective coordination with the relevant stakeholders to facilitate successful project execution.
∎ Lead the design and oversee the implementation of major WASH infrastructure for Sanitation, Water Supply and solid waste management systems.
∎ Develop and implement SOPs for FSM, SWM, and water supply systems to ensure sustainability and operational efficiency.
∎ Provide technical input in procurement processes to ensure quality and compliance with project needs.
∎ Collaborate with the Hygiene Promotion team to ensure integrated and technically sound behavior change approaches.
∎ Contribute to project development, donor reporting, and organizational learning by documenting best practices and lessons learned.
∎ Prepare periodic work plans aligned with project targets and oversee their execution across operational areas.
∎ Assist the project management team as per project requirement.
