Responsibilities & Context:
Technical Assistant will be assigned to provide assistance by performing repairs and maintenance solar systems, Lightening Protection System (LPS), generators and other electrical components. They also ensure effective electronic waste management in the camp to keep the surrounding environment clean. They assure the uninterrupted operation of energy infrastructure within the refugee settlement, supplying critical power for community lighting by means of sustainable solar energy that enables better living conditions and essential services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Project Officer in the overall field coordination and technical implementation of the e-cooking pre-pilot activities.
Supervise field-level installation, testing, and commissioning of solar-powered e-cooking systems in refugee and host community households.
Ensure installation and wiring works comply with approved technical drawings, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Provide hands-on guidance to field technicians during installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults to determine whether repairs or replacements are required.
Troubleshoot existing Photovoltaic systems to identify and resolve issues and perform repair and maintenance activity of solar system
Provide technical support to line manager regarding system operation and maintenance.
Conduct community awareness sessions to get buy-in and build rapport for smooth, ensuring smooth project activities.
Carry out data collection from respondents using surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), observation, and key informant interviews (KII) through field visits.
Perform other relevant duties as required for the project as well as the organization.
