Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS with MPH from a reputed institution. Candidates with PhD. will be preferred.

Job Context:
∎ Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is one of the leading organizations dedicated to public health research in Bangladesh. The centre is now looking for qualified person to fulfill the above vacant post immediately to work in disaster and drowning prevention programme.
∎ Job location: Dhaka based with extensive field visit.
∎ Duration: One year with possibilities of further extension based on performance and funding availability.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise and monitor disaster and drowning prevention project-focused field activities of Project BHASA.
∎ Liaise with DGHS, DGDM and development partners at the national level.
∎ Coordinate with district and upazila level concerned government authorities and development partners.
∎ Provide technical support in data management, especially, quality assurance and data analysis.
∎ Support in drafting scientific reports.
∎ Support in producing weekly and monthly project reports and case reports for the donors.
∎ Support in conducting training, workshop and meeting at national and district level
∎ Perform any other duties as directed by the Director, IDRC-B.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years of work experience in public health research and programme management with a good exposure to work at the field level.
∎ Candidates having Disaster/injury prevention related experiences will be preferred.
∎ Excellent project management knowledge.
∎ Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
∎ In-depth knowledge in programme implementation, management and M&E.
∎ Strong managerial skills with the ability to deliver results.
∎ Excellent skill in verbal and written communications, particularly in English.
∎ Knowledge in developing strategies and issue-based paper
∎ Sound understanding of the international programming in health sector for developing countries.
∎ Proficiency in data analysis and technical expertise on data.
∎ Knowledge in computer Applications and SPSS/STATA.
∎ Managerial proficiency with facilitation, motivation and leadership capacity to coordinate field stuff for superlative data and update reporting of the programme.

Salary:
∎ BDT 100,450/= per month (negotiable) with other admissible benefits as per policy of the organization.
