Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 15 projects.

DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Sub Assistant Community Medic al Officer of Continuation and Scale up of HIV Prevention and Treatment Services among Key Population in Bangladesh" (PUD), GC-7 Project funded bu Global Fund and Principle Recipient Save the Children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high quality clinical services and relevant documentation and reporting;
  • Facilitate works to produce/achieve targeted results and minimize problems/conflicts;
  • Assess the beneficiaries’ need and act accordingly in terms of clinical service delivery;
  • Maintain IP/UP at DIC level;
  • Ensure proper waste management;
  • Work to ensure quality of the pharmaceuticals and maintain temperature as per guideline;
  • Ensure STI treatment based on National STI guideline;
  • Conduct Satellite clinics where necessary;
  • Conduct HIV testing and pre and post-test counselling;
  • Follow all relevant guidelines/SOPs/Manuals;
  • Help in building outreach capacity in terms to boost clinical service delivery;
  • Coordinate care, treatment and support service providers to ensure 100% linking to C&T service;
  • Work in team and participate where necessary for the sake of the good performance of the DIC;
  • Do result analysis and guide team about how to proceed for achieving the clinical results;
  • Do daily data upload to CIS holders;
  • Do monthly verification regularly;
  • Plan and conduct satellite session for STI and HTS;
  • Build capacity of lay providers and oversee community led HTS;
  • Assist DICC in developing monthly/quarterly report as well as submit stock & consumption report;
  • Follow PSM guideline for stock and store management;
  • Undertake appropriate measures for ART and TB DOTs enrolment and ensure treatment adherence by taking different initiatives as appropriate;
  • Perform all the other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
