PRF`s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Study Physician.
∎ Duty station: Zakiganj, Sylhet
∎ Project: "Digital Auscultation and Pulmonary Function testing Among Rural Bangladeshi Infants"
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsible for implementation of the study activities both in community and study hospital
∎ Assess sick children referred by CHWs (Community Health Workers) either at hospital or at home (for referral failure cases) and record lung sounds using a digital stethoscope
∎ After receiving training, perform lung function tests for enrolled children as per study protocol
∎ Collect different samples required for the study such as nasopharyngeal swab, induced sputum etc. from sick and healthy children
∎ Supervise lab team for collection, storage and transportation of study samples maintaining standard operating procedure
∎ Ensure treatment and management of sick children at study hospital
∎ Quality assurance of CHW's child assessment by observation and independent assessment of children at home
∎ Maintain liaison with hospital authorities for smooth implementation of the study
∎ Maintain study documentation
∎ Prepare and share regular and on demand reports for the study
∎ Ensure study logistics working with logistics assistant
∎ Liaison with other ongoing fellow project staff of Projahnmo research group running in the hospital or community and support their activities if and when required
∎ Execute any other activities assigned by supervisors
Additional Requirements:
∎ Candidates having working experience in research will be given preference
∎ Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communications Skilled in MS Office and Excel software.
Salary:
∎ TK. 59,125/- (Fifty nine thousand one hundred and twenty five taka only) per month including all benefits.
