Education:
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
    • Diploma in Civil
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering field plus three years relevant experience in structural design, analysis and supervision.

  • School diploma plus seven years relevant experience in structural design, analysis and supervision.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the usage of Structural design and analysis (ETABS, STAAD Pro, ROBOT) software is required.

  • Experience in the usage of CAD or BIM software is required

  • Experience in infrastructure analyis, design and review is required.

  • Experience with International Organizations and/or NGOs is an advantage.

  • Experience in camp rehabilitation and site development is an advantage.

  • Experience working within the region is an advantage.

  • Experience in structural design is an advantage.

  • Experience in the usage of spreadsheets and data analysis is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Assist on the analysis and design of diverse structures, such as buildings, roads, retaining walls, culverts, etc., under the guidance of the Infrastructure Coordinator.

  • Participate in the review of infrastructure designs encompassing Masonry, RCC, Steel, Wooden, and more, across various projects managed by the IOM Infrastructure unit.

  • Contribute to drafting or drafting of detailed structural designs using CAD software.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of reports pertaining to structural analysis and design.

  • Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for internal, external or as bult quantity estimates.

  • Assisting for quality output of construction works as per specification and requirements.

  • Undertake regular field visits to review implementation and supervision of the civil works, and contribute to resolving any issues arising.

  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports covering project aspects such as progress, financial status, quality control, schedule compliance, technical aspects, and recommendations.

  • Assist in the evaluation of tenders, including assessing the qualifications, competency, and experience of bidders, as well as analyzing and reviewing quoted unit rates against IOM-prepared cost estimates.

  • Provide support during project closure, final inspections, and acceptance of completed projects.

  • Undertake any additional duties as assigned.
